Is this you?

Built for people starting from absolute zero.

  • You've never installed a light in your life — and you don't own a single tool for it yet.
  • You want a business, not a side chore — something with pricing, marketing, and repeat customers.
  • You're not sure where to even start — what to charge, what to buy, or how to find your first client.
  • You learn by doing — you'd rather climb a ladder and try it than watch another video.
Let's be direct about the money

Your first year, done right, can put$10,000–$100,000+in your pocket.

Christmas lighting is one of the few businesses where a total beginner can book a full season of work before they've ever installed a single strand — because the demand shows up every year, on a deadline, whether you're ready or not.

Results vary based on your ambition, the help you bring on, and how well you execute what you learn. Hitting the top end generally means running a crew: at least one lead installer plus 2–3 helpers. A leaner one- or two-helper setup is a more realistic path to the lower end of that range in year one. Nick Glassett did $120,000 in revenue in his own first year as a reference point, not a guarantee.

Your Instructor

Nick built a Christmas light installation company from scratch and did $120,000 in revenue in his very first year. He's spent four years as a working Christmas light contractor, on roofs and ladders, closing sales, and figuring out what actually works — not just in theory.

He's the owner of Let's Get Lit and co-founder of Let's Get Lit Supply, and he's known to hundreds of thousands of people for his bounce house content on YouTube. This training is everything he wishes someone had handed him before his first season.

Can't make it to a city on the tour?

A virtual training is also available, led by Nick, co-founder Matt Billington, and COO Gerry D — a recorded session plus a 1-hour live Q&A call afterward. It covers the same core material, but you'll miss the hands-on ladder work and the room full of people starting the exact same business you are. If a tour stop is anywhere near reach, take it. In person is where this training earns its price.

Questions first-timers ask

I've genuinely never touched Christmas lights. Will I be lost?

No. This training is built for people starting at zero — no prior installation, sales, or business experience assumed.

Is $100,000 realistic for me in year one?

It's possible, and it's what Nick did — but it takes a crew: at least one lead installer plus 2–3 helpers. A leaner setup with one or two helpers points more toward the $60,000 range. Your results depend on your market, your effort, and how well you apply what you learn.

What should I bring?

Just yourself and a willingness to get on a ladder. Details on gear are covered in the equipment portion of the training.

What if I can't make it to Nashville, San Diego, Dallas, or Houston?

A virtual training is available as a fallback. It won't include the live ladder and equipment walkthroughs or the live Q&A in the room, so an in-person date is strongly recommended if one is within driving distance.

Your first season starts here

Every year, homeowners pay someone to hang their lights. This year, let it be you.
